The Theron Ranch embodies Cornelius Theron’s deep passion for the equestrian world. He began horse riding at the age of three and has since mastered various styles, including English Riding with Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross-Country, Eventing, Hunter, Game Hunting, Equitation, Saddle Seat, Hunt Seat and Endurance Riding; as well as Western Riding, cattle ranching, with disciplines like reining, cutting, hunting and sports like barrel racing or bull fighting; earning hundreds of ribbons and trophies and buckles along the way.

As a child, Cornelius grew up on a ranch in Africa, where he rode horseback to protect farm animals, particularly cattle and sheep, from wild dogs, hyenas, and lions. His horse, Kalahari, would rest peacefully under the vast African sky.

Later in life, after serving in the military, Cornelius worked as an engineer during the day and spent his weekends riding Arabian stallions with his cousin Mac. They explored the African plains, hunting under the stars with only their rifles, horses, and a campfire for company, accompanied by Mampoer and Biltong to ward off the freezing cold of the African desert.

Cornelius views his love for the equestrian lifestyle as a true gift from God and is determined to share that passion with others.
