THERON RANCHES - THE LOVE FOR HORSES
The Theron Ranch embodies Cornelius Theron’s deep passion for the equestrian world. He began horse riding at the age of three and has since mastered various styles, including English Riding, Western Riding, Gymkhana, Competition Jumping, and Show Riding, earning hundreds of ribbons and trophies along the way.
As a child, Cornelius grew up on a ranch in Africa, where he rode horseback to protect farm animals, particularly cattle and sheep, from wild dogs, hyenas, and lions. His horse, Kalahari, would rest peacefully under the vast African sky.
Later in life, after serving in the military, Cornelius worked as an engineer during the day and spent his weekends riding Arabian stallions with his cousin Mac. They explored the African plains, hunting under the stars with only their rifles, horses, and a campfire for company.
Cornelius views his love for the equestrian lifestyle as a true gift from God and is determined to share that passion with others.

After immigrating to America in 1990, Cornelius prioritized family and work, but his passion for horses ultimately drew him to Wellington, the Polo Capital of the World. The new Theron Ranch, situated in the heart of the equestrian scene—along with his ranch in Wyoming and his castle in Scotland—brings back powerful memories of his life with horses in Africa. Living in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave in an equestrian environment is not just a dream for Cornelius Theron; it is a reality he has made happen.

The Stables at Theron Ranch will be maintained and rented out to horse lovers like Cornelius Theron to promote this tradition and lifestyle that so many people worldwide need to be introduced to.
Welcome to the Theron Ranches.
